Jackie invests in semiconductor and mobility companies. He primarily leads the Translink investment effort in Taiwan, China, and Southeast Asia and supports portfolio efforts in these regions.
Professional Journey
Jackie was Senior Vice President of UMC Capital and led the investment effort in the US and China prior to co-founding Translink. He started his VC career in 1996 with Investar Capital, which leveraged the industrial relationship in Taiwan to invest in companies in Silicon Valley. His various portfolio companies have gone public in the US, Taiwan, China, and Tokyo Stock Exchanges.
Education
MBA from University of Missouri – Columbia and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.
Passion
Outside of work, you can find Jackie getting his 10 thousand steps in per day with a Starbucks latte in hand.
